About Aussie Credit Guide
Aussie Credit Guide is an Australian website that sets out credit card rates, fees and offers side by side so they are easier to compare.
What we are, and aren’t
We publish general, factual information. We are not a bank, lender or broker. We don’t give personal financial advice, we don’t recommend that you apply for any particular product, and we don’t handle applications. When you follow a link you deal directly with the provider.
How we choose which cards to list
We list cards from Australian providers whose product pages we have been able to check ourselves. That is a small part of the market. There are many cards and providers we don’t cover, and a card’s absence says nothing about its quality.
How we check the details
Rates, fees and offers are taken from each provider’s own product page. Every comparison page shows the date we last checked. Providers change offers without notice, so always confirm the details on the provider’s site before applying. If you spot something out of date, tell us and we’ll fix it.
How we write our guides
Our guides explain how credit cards work in general terms. Facts about the law and the rules, such as your rights in financial hardship or how long information stays on a credit report, are checked against Australian Government and regulator sources including Moneysmart, ASIC and the Reserve Bank, and each guide shows the date it was last reviewed. Worked examples state their assumptions and are illustrations, not quotes for any product. We don’t use provider logos or card artwork: the charts and illustrations on this site are our own.
Corrections
If something on the site is wrong or out of date, tell us. We correct errors as soon as we can confirm them and update the review date on the page.
How tables are ordered
Each table states how it is sorted, for example by longest balance transfer period or lowest purchase rate. We don’t accept payment for position, and commission never decides the order.
How we make money
At present the site earns nothing from the providers listed. We intend to join affiliate programs, and when a link earns us commission it will be marked as a partner link. See our affiliate disclosure.
